Right now our listening center has old school hand held CD players that have broken buttons and have broken earphones. All our CD's skip because they are so worn out and scratched that the children are unable to use the listening center at all. If we were able to have a new listening center and new CD books for our classroom our kids would begin to enjoy the listening center once again and start their journey to learning to read and love reading. When children learn the joy and love for reading at a young age, they have a greater chance of becoming strong readers.
