Hello and welcome to my teacher page! My name is Alison Barnett and I'm a third-grade special education teacher at P.S. 516 located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York. My classroom is an ICT classroom, which means it is an integrated classroom of both special education and general education students. The diversity of learners in my classroom fosters a collaborative environment based on teamwork and tolerance between students. Our school is a Title-I school, meaning the majority of the student population comes from low-income families. We have an amazing and dedicated staff at our school, but I could always use new resources to target and engage my different learners.
