Research tells us that students learn new vocabulary most efficiently from voluntary reading about topics they enjoy. The best way to make sure this happens in my classroom is to have lots of different books for them to choose from. The Little Prince is one of the most inspiring novels in the history of children´s literature and will greatly enrich my French 3 students. Non-fiction books attract many students who do not enjoy other types of novels or fiction. I have chosen to ask for help with these items to help my students love French and acquire the language through comprehensible input.
