I have a variety of students from the highly capable to kids just arriving to our country. Most of my students receive free or reduced lunch. My school is an open-concept school--that means no walls! As a result, the staff work very closely together in order to maintain reasonable noise levels and provide academic and pro-social activities. Many of our students struggle with their behavior which is why many of us attend staff development classes on creating highly engaging yet academic activities.
