Each student learns to read at his/her own pace. The storage bins I am requesting will allow students to store and easily access reading books that match each child's reading abilities. Being a Title I School, we have very limited resources to purchase book bins and writing supplies. The writing supplies are needed to help my students as they continue developing important writing skills. We have been working on writing complete sentences and stretching each sentence to include vivid and descriptive adjectives and adverbs. Earlier this year, my students became published authors and illustrators when they completed a class book titled "Why Life is Good." Not only did the students write and illustrate the book, they declined my suggestions during our brainstorming session for the topic. They came up with this wonderful topic and title on their own. They are truly a wonderful group of children! Please help us continue our fantastic and exciting journey through first grade. Thank you!
