They are endlessly creative, love animals, are eager scientists and want to take charge of their own learning. This describes the second graders in my classroom. They are eager to learn and their excitement grows when they have the chance to use technology. Recently I heard a shout from across they room, "I conquered a level!" from a student who finished a new level on an on-line math practice site. It is that type of excitement that they feel when they access on-line learning resources that are tailored to their needs and engage them fully. Their current access to technology is limited with only 5 Chromebooks in our classroom or the small chunks of time we can get in a school lab. My 20 second graders are naturally inquisitive and readily able to adapt to new technology They will push themselves to learn new information when they are in the on-line driver's seat.
