Do you remember those hard, student chairs that you had to sit in for 6 hours a day at school? They're uncomfortable and not well suited for learning for most students. In my classroom, I've tried to provide various options for student seating including yoga balls and high stools. Many of my students like to just sit on the floor, but doing so for extended periods of time gives them a crick in their neck and shoulders! These low-to-the-ground camping chairs are perfect for them. Students are able to move them easily into groups to collaborate on work together or even into a cubby or corner if they need to work more quietly on their own. I removed the legs of some of my desks so that they can pull a chair right up to it and work at a lower desk. These chairs would be perfect for that.
