Our boys lost a year, in effect, due to the pandemic. I offer tutorial 4 days a week, until six o'clock pm, for any boy that wants to stay for academic help or a safe place to do their homework before they go home to chaos. I send personal invitations to students who are struggling and they actually come because they have been "invited." Snacks do matter and are the only "treat" some of these boys get each day. Knowing they will have snacks after school allows them the perserverance to stay and focus on their work and catch up on work they missed due to the challenges of virtual learning. Your donations of food matters and in the thank you packet you will see evidence of this fact. Thank you so much for your help!
