In today's world, children are wired to use technology in a way to enhance learning. Engagement is KEY! As we all say, "It's A Great Day to Be at B.!" B. is a school that consists of about 500 students in grades K-5. These students are smart, eager, and goal oriented, who love challenges. We are a technology magnet school that has many standards to accomplish in order for our students to be introduced and proficient in using up-to-date technology. Many of our students are labeled gifted students and do not learn effectively using only textbooks. Our students are interested and eager to learn from technology available to the classroom. They are excited and engaged when they can learn from a form of technology versus a textbook. This is why I am asking for five iPad mini devices to help enhance my teaching and student learning. They can use them to review, research, and create TONS of technology projects focused on content taught in class. The world of educational apps is endless.
