I am a bilingual kindergarten teacher in Trenton, NJ. I currently have 18 shining stars. My students come in everyday eager to learn something new and to show how smart they are. We recently learned how to play freeze tag and duck, duck, goose. Incredibly they had never heard of these games. When you look around my room you see a lot of teacher made materials and student work. I love when they look at the bulletin board and see their work. This week, one of my students was so proud to show his mom his math test. He had gotten a 100% on both addition and subtraction. He was so proud of himself; that is what I want for them at the end of the year. For them to see where they started and where they are now, how much they have achieved, writing whole independent sentences with finger spaces, capital letters, and don’t forget the point at the end. That is my goal!
