This year my school began using readers workshop. My kiddos really enjoy it, but we lack books. We need to supplement our current selection of books so that the children are able to bring home books to read. Currently we only have enough books to read in class. It would be truly beneficial if the kids were able to bring books home to read with their parents. It would not only grow stronger readers, but it would strengthen the home and school connection as well. Many people would be surprised to know that many children in urban areas do not own any books! Please find it in your hearts to help grow strong,confident readers.
