For the most part our students are wonderful! They come to school eager to learn, and they work hard. Some students start school more ready to learn than others, with more family support. We always have a few challenging kids, perhaps from less supportive homes, but we try our best to meet their needs. Our classrooms are heterogeneous, and include many different levels of kids with diverse learning styles. We have teachers who are very supportive of each other, and we all work together to make sure our kids succeed. Our school is in a suburban location, and has about 500 students. We used to have a lot of parent support, but that has changed over the past few years with more families needing double incomes. Recently, we had an affordable housing development built within our district, and that has brought more challenges, as many of the kids are low income and come from single parent homes.
