My students are sweet and very excited about learning. They enter everyday, full of energy for learning. We teach them to be "leaders on track" with their behavior and their learning. Our school is a Leader in Me school, where we practice the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. These habits teach the students how to be successful in life and in school. We are also a Title 1 school. Over 70% of our students receive reduced or free breakfast and lunch. Our school serves inner city students and is located in a small county near one of the larger school districts in the state. More than half of my students have limited opportunities with technology and the likelihood for reading at home is sparse.
