This project and the books that will be gained from it will not only grow our classroom library, but take my students to places that many never get to experience. Many families in our class do not have cars and our small town does not have buses so students only see their neighborhood. Books open students' eyes to the world awaiting them and gives them hope for a future. The #1 proven way to grow reading levels is to read. I have a goal to make reading fun for all my students and in order to do that I need to have books that connect with them. The books provided by this project will get more books into the hands of my students so they can be taken away to magical places and forget the home environments that some see.
