First grade students are at that pivotal moment in time when they are learning to read. For many students, this is an exciting time and they are naturally engaged and successful. For other students, reading is a difficult task and the students are easily discouraged when learning letters and letter sounds. Unlocking the code to reading is frustrating and can become an arduous task. Jolly Phonics makes the task of unlocking the code to reading fun and engaging as students become strong, efficient readers. When using Jolly Phonics students will learn about letters sounds as they engage all of their senses. They will perform a motion that represents a sound, sing and dance to the songs that teach letter sounds, and read visually stimulating books with fun and colorful illustrations. The scientifically researched based Jolly Phonics has met with rave reviews as it has been used all over the world to develop strong successful readers.
