These children are hurting. Physically and mentally, our classroom is a safe haven for emotionally disabled students. These middle school students, grades 6-8, struggle to maintain emotional stability to survive, let alone learn. Providing engaging, hands-on activities and work not only allows them an opportunity to finally experience some success and build confidence, but distracts from the enormous personal issues and struggles.

About my class
