In Advisory, we work on social and emotional learning through projects and team-building activities. Each morning when students arrive on campus and enter advisory class, they have the opportunity to let go of the day thus far and enter a positive, welcoming, and affirming space. I believe deeply in the power of expressing gratitude daily and want to share this gift with my students, so that they can carry the practice with them through the rest of their childhood and into adulthood. They are our future, and my hope is building this habit now will help them lead with compassion and appreciation.

About my class
