Horizon Science Academy Toledo is the home of the Jaguars. Here at HSAT, we encourage students participate in STEM-related activities, projects, and competitions. Besides being a mathematics teacher, I am robotics head coach, which provides me better opportunities to have my students involve in STEM field with the help of hands on activities. Students build robots, write programs for those robots to be able to complete different tasks, learn how to work as a team, help each other, and gain new skills. They are students who are eager to learn, especially when they are provided with the right materials. The idea of being with these students and feeling the possibility of making a small difference in their lives is priceless!
