Through research it has been proven that providing students with choice in the classroom will help them succeed. These seating materials will help my students learn in an environment that is created with their functionality in mind. The students will be able to come in each day and choose their own seat. A seat where they can be ready to learn and successful at their daily tasks. With these options, they can move and be comfortable in the learning environment. There are a lot of demands on kids at school from a very young age and I am excited to do what I can to facilitate their learning in a classroom that offers flexible seating options. I am requesting include 2 Neorok stool or a stay in place sand ball where students can sit and rock, wobble or wiggle while learning. and 2 seats like a GO anywhere chair or soft seat cushions where students can be comfortable while sitting on the floor learning, listening and completing assignments. We also need plastic book bins where students can move throughout the room to the chosen seat and keep all of their supplies with them wherever they go lap trays that students can move around the room with to give them a hard surface to assist with anything. There will still be a normal desk with chairs for an option but these materials will help provide so much more to the student's learning experience. They can be wiggling in the stools or ball chairs, standing at a desk or sitting on a cushion on the floor with all their materials within their reach. These materials will help make classroom seating options endless and they will help me implement my vision of helping each student succeed.
