I can not expect 5 and 6 year old to sit at a traditional table and chairs for 5-6 hours a day if I am no longer teaching the traditional way. I CAN expect more engagement from students who stand at a tall table or counter, spread out on a bath mat rug, sit on a cushion that allows for some movement or get comfortable in a bean bag chair. Although we do currently have a few other options for work spaces, my goal is for flexible seating to be available for all students. The key is for the students to have a voice in how they are learning and be comfortable with a choice that maximizes their chances of success. My students and I thank you for considering a donation for our classroom. Your donation will directly go towards building a classroom community where every child learns everyday.
