All of my students have significant learning differences. Standardized testing becomes part of their world, when they reach 3rd grade. While some of my students will be mainstreamed to receive core instruction, modifications will be made to the general education curriculum. This school year, I will from teaching the K-2nd grade to teaching the upper elementary students. Making the Science and Social Studies standards accessible to my 3rd -5th graders, is the goal of my Donor's Choose project. The learning kits on my list will offer engaging hands-on learning. Multi-sensory activities reinforce learning goals and will allow me to focus on key concepts. I have seen the efficacy of providing hands-on learning and thank each donor, for helping me to equip my learning environment.
