In addition to learning disabilities, they also struggle with mental health issues. They are motivated to learn and want to do better, but often times, the mental health component and the associated symptoms impede their learning. An inability to sit still and difficulty focusing makes getting an education a frustrating task. Furthermore, 100% of my students are on free or reduced-price lunch and are lacking support at home.
