I'm hoping to provide my students with up to date reading materials that are engaging while also informative. One of the best ways to do this is through the use of Scholastic News readers. I would also be able to use the accompanying online resources to further enhance their learning experience. One of the main reasons I would like to use Scholastic News readers is because my students would be able to take the readers home after using them in class. Many of my students come from low income households and don't have access to books in their homes. The readers would be something they could use weekly at home for added practice.
