The middle school math teachers and I are collaborating to create and execute meaningful, fun and student-centered guided math activities. One of the stations is a technology station, in which students work with Chromebooks and iPads to reinforce math skills and concepts. Although we have access to Chromebooks at the middle schools, we are unable to use them for weeks at a time due to district-wide benchmark testing and federally and state mandated high-stakes testing. Without the Chromebooks in our classroom on a daily basis, it is very difficult for us to create meaningful guided math technology stations. These Chromebooks and iPad will be used on a daily basis in our math classrooms.
