The students I see are usually the lowest readers in the building. They are the ones that struggle to read, thus making reading "BORING" or not exciting to them. Every day I challenge myself to try to get these kids to smile during reading class, to want to come to reading, and to desire to become readers outside of my classroom. One way I have done this is through a free library outside my classroom door. I have books that have been donated from parents and teachers for the kids to take whenever they desire a new book! Seeing their excitement for these books has inspired me to want to acquire more books for kids to have.
