It is such a gift to have all of our students back in school. After a year of mixed remote and hybrid learning we are enjoying being together again. This school year is different in many ways. We wear masks, practice social distancing and some of us participate in weekly pool testing. As a Special Education Teacher I work across grades in our little school and I see an increased need for social/emotional and behavioral supports amongst our students. Many students continue to require assistance to self regulate and to get what they need here at school. Sensory tools, fidgets and time timers are some of the tools that we find are providing increased benefit to our students.
