As I have gotten to know my students over the past few months, I have discovered that they are incredibly unique individuals. My students come from many different backgrounds, have varied interests, and learn in different ways. But one thing that of all my students share is a love for technology. My students are constantly talking about what tablets they have at home, and all of the fun games they play on them. I want to fuel their love for tablets while also incorporating it with their love for learning and discovering. There are many online programs out there that can differentiate content for students in a way that no one teacher can. These programs can meet students where they are at in Math and Reading, and support them as they learn and grow. Not only will these tablets be used for educational purposes, but motivational purposes as well. Being able to complete assignments and projects with a tablet will be the motivation that some of my students need to push through challenges and obstacles that they may face in the classroom.
