Teaching with the use of novels has been the highlight of learning for students in my class! This year, we have a new curriculum, but each student was not provided a copy of the recommended novel. Students need the novel to be able to independently read the assigned chapters at home so that we can have deep and meaningful discussions during class. Students deserve the opportunity to learn through the stories told in the lives and experiences of characters. It is my goal to find a way to provide this for my students.
