One area where my students struggle is learning how to read. A fun way for a student to learn phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension is through technology. In this generation, iPads have been used in an entertaining way to learn their letters and sounds. Students enjoy using the iPads as they are learning, even though they feel more that they are playing. Then they realize that they are learning at the same time. My first-grade students will be learning how to read in a fun and exciting way by using the iPads. I plan to use the five iPads in a center where all the students will be exposed to them. I would love for my students to have the technology exposure in my classroom since in their home they have limited resources. I would love to see my students be excited when they finally learn to read. First grade is very crucial where every child needs to come out reading.
