My students are Special Education children ranging from Autistic to Behavioral challenges. They are three years old and some early fours. Most of my twenty five students come from troubled backgrounds and need a lot of help psychologically and otherwise. I have two groups, one from 8.30 to 11.00am and one from 11.30am to 2.00pm. They are all young and curious and challenges us a lot to see if we would give in to their tantrums. As teachers, we stay calm and solid and work with them on a one to one basis. We have morning circle, then small groups and then free work. We then go outside and play in the sand pit and then the swings. The kids love all the variety of activities that we offer them. They love the movement and the joy of switching from one thing to another. My school is one of the nicest places to work. The teachers give their all to the students and the surrounding community really respects their hard work. Our school teachers and staff are so helpful to each other.
