My students are struggling readers who understood they were well below their peers. Through the limited availability we had with technology, I was able to introduce multimedia games that motivated them to learn fundamental reading skills. They have increased their ability to read and comprehend in ways they never imagined possible. These students have a passion for technology and gaming. It is incredible how easily they engage in reading activities when it involves a technological approach. Our school is a public charter school that puts a lot of effort in ensuring every child's success. They strive to stretch every dollar as much as possible. They believe that every child can be reached, it is just finding what they are motivated and interested by. As a teacher I go to great lengths to motivating and ensuring that each child succeeds. In the increasing technological era that we live in, it seems that more and more students learn using these tools.
