My students have severe behavioral needs. They cannot function in a regular education classroom. In our room we need many movement breaks, food breaks, and mental breaks to get through a typical day. Everyday I remind them that no one is perfect, but they sure can try to be. I want them to succeed. Our school is a gifted and talented school, but many of the students have sensory needs that aren't met in a regular classroom. My classroom allows my students and others to take a break from the over stimulation created.
