Breakout games, whether digital or hands-on, can be used at school and at home. Breakout games are a fun way for students to apply previously taught skills in a FUN and EXCITING way. Breakout games are also a good way for students to develop good communication and social skills while learning how to critically think and solve problems that involves, sometimes, thinking outside of the box. Break out games are also a good way for students to get up and out of their seats and develop gross and fine motor skills. My students, who at first didn't like them, love them now and we even make friendly competitions out of solving them. During inside recess times, I would like to have more board games and card games for the students. It surprised me how many of my students didn't know how to play some of the newer card games like Phase 10 and Skip Bo. I want to teach the children how to play like I use to play.
