This project is about using STEM to help students to code using robots. Learning to code not only causes students to come up with solutions to issues, but these skills are transferable to other subjects where the student may use critical thinking skills. In this particular project, the students will use Vex IQ robotic kits to write lines of code to program the robots to carry out a particular function. When working on STEM projects, my students are noticeably more engaged in hands-on learning with the right tools. They work more and are less disruptive of their peers when they have the technology they need to complete assignments.
