We have a wonderful school of 400+ students grades K-5. It is a suburban school outside of a major city. We are a mixture of all cultures and backgrounds. There are many students without home access to technology which is why it is so important that we provide 21st Century leaning opportunities in school. Our library is actually in the center of a circle with classrooms all around it. I think this is fantastic because the library should be the hub and heart of the school. Our library isn't just a place to check out books. Library at our school is an academic class where students are exposed to different books, authors, genres, safe research techniques, and lessons on digital citizenship. We do a little bit of everything and questions are always welcomed and encouraged. Our students are sweet and kind and they deserve new opportunities and technologies.
