My students will use the dry erase easels for their weekly tutorials. During the tutorials students get up and present problems on a dry erase board in front of a small group. They demonstrate the problem, explain what they know, and identify the point of confusion. The other students in the small group then use Socratic questioning to help the student work through the tutorial. The large dry-erase easels allows students to present their ideas and organize all needed materials for the tutorial sessions.This is the first year that our middle school has implemented the AVID program, and resources are limited to accommodate the specific needs of the program.
