Privacy screens are useful for test taking. They are configured around each student’s desk. The screens optimize privacy, reduce distractions, and create a ‘zone’ in which the student can concentrate on tasks. I like to give my students the opportunity to move around the classroom to do their work, instead of having to sit in the same seat all day. I’ve found that some students like to sit on stools, while others prefer sitting on the carpets. Lap desks can help increase their comfort as they’re doing their work in the way in which they learn best. The lap desks include clipboards for increased functionality. In order to provide additional seating options, I’d like to add yoga-ball style flexible seating to my classroom. This type of seating supports the students’ needs to move around, yet it keeps them upright. The balancing aspect of these seats also helps students who may have trouble maintaining their focus.
