Chromebooks help students research, write, revise and publish. We prepare our students for high school, college, and the real world through the exploration of written communication. We know that struggling students are easily engaged in the writing process with the use of technology. These students are less intimidated by editing and revising informational and argumentative essays when they can use technology at a level equal to their peers. Students can simultaneously google information while collecting evidence on Google Docs. Students use Google Classroom to share documents with their peers and teachers which fosters collaborative learning. Chromebooks also help students to move at their own pace by helping to create opportunities for individualized learning. Our students can improve grammar usage with websites like NoRedInk.com. They are excited about assessments when they can use Kahoot.it. Most importantly, students can write and publish original works like essays, narratives, and poems.
