The children will be given new science materials to enhance their learning in the science center. Their science experiences will be heightened by the sensory experiences, natural materials, and STEM materials in this order.The nature component is crucial since many of the children have few interactions with the school being in a city setting. All of these materials will engage the child in becoming their own scientist. These materials will encourage curiosity in science for prekindergarten students. These children will be provided with new opportunities for science experiments and learning with nature. Some of the materials wanted for the classroom include binoculars, scales, and nature blocks. These are key learning experiences that the child will build on as they continue in school.
