Learning to read is hard work! Help make it fun for my students as they struggle to become readers. I teach at a year round school in a community where 99% of my students receive free lunch. My class is a self-contained Special Education classroom with children in grades 1 through 5. The children have a wide range of needs due to their disabilities, age difference and personal interests. I try every possible method to reach each one of them. Despite their difficulties, my students are bright, caring, sweet children who really, really want to learn. Last year, we received a very generous donation of several LeapFrog books on cassette. Wonderful! Except that we don't have the LeapFrog pad needed to use the cassettes. I am requesting 6 LeapFrog pads so the children can individually work with me (or their parents) to listen to the books on cassette, and learn to read. Thank you for considering this proposal
