In the standard classroom, the placement of the student presentations are placed on the walls of the classroom. Having these 3 whiteboard easels allows a flexible set up to our learning environment. We can allow students to move their tutorial sessions to various places in the room, or if need arises, to outside of the classroom. The other groups will be allowed to use the Smartboard, digital projector/elmo, or wall whiteboards to do their tutorials.
In a tutorial group, students have designated roles to carry out; Presenter, Tutor, Recorder, Support Group Member. All students contribute to the conversation of the discussion with the goal of helping the presenter find the solution to their problem (point of confusion). The tutor must facilitate the conversation, being sure that the group stays on task, and uses technology as an effective tool when accessed. The entire group asks guiding questions, using references/resources to help reach the solution.
