We are located in a rural area where a large portion of our community is considered to be economically disadvantaged. A low number of our graduates obtain a degree after high school. My students range from 9th to 12th grade. This particular computers class is their first opportunity they have been presented with throughout school to produce something like a school newscast and the feedback I have received from students, teacher, and administration has been extremely positive. I feel that one of my biggest accomplishments thus far this semester is the fact that students are wanting to come in extra, aside from scheduled class time, to prepare and work on their weekly duties for this class. Many have shown interest in pursuing a career in digital media, whether it be photography, graphic design, or film.
