My group of first graders love school. They are inquisitive and curious about the world around them. I love moments where they ask to take the learning further than I planned. The school that I teach in is small, but mighty. The staff members work closely together to build a positive school-wide community. The students know that they are welcome and that they truly belong to our school family. That community transfers into the classroom and creates a safe learning environment. My students know that they can learn from mistakes and are working on how to learn from those mistakes. I am proud to be their teacher.
