Hello! I am a 4th grade teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. It is my 5th year and I love my students and my profession. I consider year five a personal milestone and our class has taken on a lot of new opportunities & responsibilities together as a result. Our Title 1 school has a large population of English Language Learners from all over the world, and it is amazing to see how much our students grow and progress each and every day. Our students and staff are dedicated and have a contagious thirst for learning. Being a part of my school family is something that makes me feel so fortunate! To finish, a poem by one of our fourth grade favorites, Shel Silverstein: Invitation - If you are a dreamer, come in, If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer... If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!
