Based on test scores alone, our students are underperforming their peers in the region. Our school has a high free and reduced-price lunch rate (around a third of the student population). The teaching staff is committed to change, but is also a very small staff dealing with the largest student body we've ever had. We have no interventionists, no teacher's aides to help the student body; it's classes of students and a teacher. We can do better, but we have to better use the resources we have and find the most efficient ways of launching interventions utilizing the small staff we have.
