The students in the class are students who need help with social skills and behaviors that prevent them from being in a large group. There are 8 kids who need an extra dose of love and support to make positive choices. We are housed at a large school of close to 800 kids. Our students have multiple disabilities that require small group instruction. We work hard to make them feel important and equal regardless of what they experience and face each and every day that many people may not even be aware of. These students get attention in any manner that is accessible to them--in that it might be positive or negative attention. Our duties at this level and point in these students' lives are to provide them each with the best opportunity to learn and be successful. We call upon society to support these students in whatever means that are available. Help us give them another outlet or possible new way of expressing and learning through their day.
