Having a set of tablets will allow my students to grow as responsible learners. They will use these tablets to listen to and follow along to someone reading at their individual level of complexity. Students will be able to listen someone model reading fluency and emulate this behavior. They will also practice previously learned reading strategies to make meaning of what they're reading. Additonally, students will use these tablets to record themselves reading in order to identifyand gain reading fluency. Overall, these tablets will assist my students by providing meaningful learning of literacy through the use of technology, thus, promoting their intrinsic motivation to learn and guiding them to grow as responsible learners.
