My long term objective for this grant is to foster a love of reading within my students. My short term objectives of this goal include: 1. to ensure my students go home nightly with a book to read at their reading level 2. to increase the volume of reading they are doing 3. to increase stamina, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension and develop background knowledge 4. to motivate my students to spend more time at home reading daily 5. to inspire my students to talk about books with their peers as they discuss texts and make recommendations to other students
