Anyone observing a junior high school class understands that idleness is not a good thing. Kids gets bored; kids misbehave; the teacher is suddenly forced into a disciplinary rather than educational role. For a special education teacher, this can be a serious issue. So much time is spent on a one-to-one basis. As valuable (and unavoidable) as this can be, it also leads to problems. My goal is to keep my kiddos interested and engaged while developing strategies that will promote classroom success. These marvelous tablets would be so very useful to me and them. My vision is that the tablets would move around the room, as needed. Students could access Infinite Campus, take online tests, do research or even read! (It IS a Kindle after all). This simple introduction of technology would increase engagement, facilitate learning and perhaps most importantly, keep the kiddos focused and out of mischief. Many thanks for your consideration.
