It is my goal to transform my classroom into a flexible space that promotes collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. Providing my students with this environment will help foster crucial real-world skills. My classroom is student driven through problem-based learning, allowing my students to take ownership of their own learning. This project will help build upon the variety of workstations offered. This provides choice for my 21st-century learners. The stackable stools that I am requesting will allow for students to safely move about the classroom. The students are constantly moving. The stools are easily hidden under tables for safe movement in the room. They also allow ease of movement when transitioning from class meetings to teamwork. If the students need a clear classroom floor, the stools easily stack in the corner. This will allow for a safe, yet flexible space. The wobble chairs will add to the flexible space as an option for students. The unique seating will allow a space for students who need movement while they work. Students will have the option of small movement without distracting the rest of the students. Both of these items will help meet the needs of my diverse learners in a safe, collaborative environment.
